Rep. Marci Mustello (R-Butler) has announced a significant boost in state funding for local transportation improvements in Butler County, with a total of $1.3 million being allocated for various projects. The grants, aimed at enhancing public safety and commerce in the region, were made possible through the Multimodal Transportation Fund.

"These funds are aimed directly at improving our local transportation assets, both within Butler City and at rural locations within the 11th District," stated Rep. Marci Mustello. "We have bridges that are currently in need of attention, and we have avenues for future economic growth that need assistance in being developed."

The grants will support key projects in Butler County, Clearfield Township, and Winfield Township. Butler County's Community Development Corporation will receive $750,000 for the reconstruction and extension of Bantam Avenue in Butler City. Clearfield Township has been awarded $389,470 for renovations to the McGrady Hollow Bridge, while Winfield Township will benefit from $130,000 to replace two bridges at the intersection of Center and Helmbold avenues.

The funding, facilitated through the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s (CFA) Multimodal Transportation Fund Program, underscores the state's commitment to economic development and ensuring a safe and reliable transportation system throughout Pennsylvania.

Rep. Mustello's proactive approach in securing funding for these essential projects highlights her dedication to improving local infrastructure and fostering economic growth in the region.
